According to The Journal News (lohud.com), the non-custodial mother of an infant boy came under suspicion when she disappeared with her son, his birth certificate, and $10,000.00 from the joint account she shared with the boy’s father.  Police and federal authorities apprehended her at LAX airport in Los Angeles and prevented from boarding a plane for The Philippines with her son in tow.  The boy has been restored to the care of his custodial father.  READ MORE: Infant returned to Cortlandt dad after mother found with boy in Los Angeles, bound for the Philippines, lohud.com (October 6, 2011).
