Language access proponents and experts from all across Hawai’i and the mainland will spend a full day on August 31, 2011 at the 4th Annual Hawaii Conference on Language Access in Honolulu. Participants, speakers and panelists convene every year to learn and share knowledge on the practical application of language access plans, policies and best practices. Conference Topics include:
• Use of interpreters during police and fire emergencies
• Language access and medical emergency response
• Providing language access in hospital emergency room settings
The event is cosponsored by Hawaii’s Office of Language Access (OLA) and Office of Community Services (OCS).
